Our story: Why Profily was born

Meet our founder

Our founder, Shorouq Hamawi brings over two decades of unparalleled expertise in international market expansion and strategic communications. Her journey began with a 10-year tenure at the British Embassy in Jordan, where she played a pivotal role in advising British companies wishing to expand into the Middle East. Her efforts focused on enhancing brand visibility, working closely with local media organisations, and strengthening market entry communications, thereby aiding companies in establishing a robust presence in international markets.

Following her time with the British Embassy, Shorouq spent another decade as a Regional Communications and Marketing Director based in Dubai. In this role, she was instrumental in promoting the services and thought leadership of one of the world’s leading consultancy firms, particularly focusing on expansion into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

With a rich background in supporting C-level executives and companies to amplify their profiles and succeed in global markets, Shorouq’s approach integrates a deep understanding of cultural nuances and inclusive communications, joined by excellent media relation across the Middle East, making Profily a premier one-stop station for all communications needs.
